Who says it’s all about fall?
Some of my favorite family sessions happen in the spring — when the sunshine is soft, everything feels fresh, and toddlers are ready to run.
This was one of those sessions.
The most perfect spring day in Roswell, GA. Two toddler boys, full of curiosity and energy. Grandma there soaking it all in. Hugs, crawling through the grass, running straight into the sunlight, and laughter. Just gentle prompting by an experienced photographer.
You may think this sounds crazy — but full sessions with toddlers are my favorite.
They’re not rushed.
They’re not forced.
There’s no pressure to “perform.”
I warm them up. I let them explore. I let them be silly. I follow their curiosity instead of trying to control it.
And I capture all of it.
Often parents worry about toddler behavior during family photos.
Please don’t.
The running?
The wiggling?
The unpredictable giggles?
That’s the magic.
Years from now, you won’t care if they stood perfectly still and smiled at the camera. You’ll be grateful you documented the way they ran toward you. The way they walked hand-holding grandma. The way they still fit in your arms when you scooped them up.

It was almost impossible to narrow down favorites from this gallery because every frame held movement, connection, and real life.
Spring family photography in Roswell, Marietta and the North Atlanta area is something I truly love. The light is beautiful. The pace feels natural. And it gives toddlers the space they need to just be themselves.
Spring goes by in a flash.
If you’ve been thinking about updating your family photos — especially during these busy toddler years — this is your reminder not to wait.
Let them run.
Let them be little.
Let’s document it.
