Document Where You are in Life: a Football Inspired Family Session

One of my favorite messages to receive is:
“Can you photograph us just as we are this year?”

Because that is what family photos are really about.

For this Marietta family, this season of life looks a lot like football. 🏈
Their daughter recently started flag football. She is absolutely thriving. Her confidence is growing, and her skills are sharpening. There is so much joy on the field. Football has also become a family thing: tailgating together, tossing the ball around, and spending weekends cheering on their team side by side.

So instead of forcing a traditional backdrop, we leaned into what matters most to them right now. We documented them hanging out at the field, sharing laughs, throwing passes, and simply being together in their element. The result? Images that feel easy, honest, and completely them.

Of course, I can recommend plenty of beautiful locations. But when a family has a favorite activity — something that truly represents their life in this season — that’s always where I love to start. We plan around it and let the story unfold naturally.
