Those first weeks with a new baby are tender and fleeting. Days blur together, nights feel long, and somehow everything changes all at once. When it comes to newborn photography, my belief is simple: this season deserves to be documented slowly, calmly, and honestly.

Newborn sessions aren’t about perfection. They’re about presence.

As a newborn photographer my approach is centered on creating a peaceful experience that feels supportive, unrushed, and meaningful for growing families.

Letting Baby Lead

Every newborn session I photograph is baby-led. That means there’s no rushing, no rigid timeline, and no expectation that your baby needs to “perform.” Feeding breaks, diaper changes, soothing, and cuddles are all part of the experience — not interruptions.

Some of the most meaningful images happen in the in-between moments: a parent rocking near a window, tiny fingers wrapped around yours, the quiet calm after a feeding. Allowing sessions to unfold naturally creates space for genuine connection and images that feel true to this season of life.

The Comfort of Home

I photograph most newborn sessions in the comfort of your home throughout East Cobb, Marietta, Smyrna, Milton, Woodstock, and Alpharetta. Staying home removes so much stress during the newborn phase. There is no packing bags, no worrying about weather, and no rushing out the door. (If you need a studio- I can do that too, see one of my studio sessions here.)

Your home becomes part of the story. You have a nursery you carefully prepared. There’s the couch where you’ve spent long hours holding your baby. Soft light fills your space in those early days. These details may feel ordinary now, but they often become the most treasured parts of your images later on.

A Timeless, Natural Editing Style

My editing style is natural, soft, and timeless. I focus on true-to-life tones, gentle light, and honest details that won’t feel dated years from now. I don’t rely on heavy retouching or trendy props — instead, I prioritize connection, emotion, and the way this season actually felt.

The goal is to create newborn images that grow more meaningful with time.

Simple Collections, Full Access

I believe newborn photography should feel straightforward and stress-free. There are no confusing packages. You don’t have to make difficult decisions while you’re exhausted. You also won’t wonder what you’ll get to keep.

My newborn sessions include all of the edited images from your gallery. You don’t have to narrow down favorites or worry about missing moments — you’ll receive the full story. Newborn sessions are generally 60+ individually edited images. Once your images are delivered, you’ll have access to every photograph and the freedom to print and share them however you choose. Or decide to print through my professional printer for quality prints and albums.

This approach allows parents to relax and fully enjoy their images, knowing nothing meaningful has been left out.
