If you google Mother’s Day gifts you will see flowers, fruit, personalized baseball hats and mugs. I’m telling you, if I want fruit- I’ll by it. A Taylor swift “Mom-era hat”, is not a gift I want to be given unless it came with concert tickets- Ha! Flowers are nice… but not lasting. I like them on a random day more than a holiday, just me?
What’s better? When I look at this session, I could cry. I wish I had more sessions like this with my babies. Sure I took pictures of them when they were little however I was just starting my photography-era and I was behind the lens, like most moms are, instead of in the image with them. Having portraits of us together are the best gift ever. And dad’s you can sit this one out or even invite grandma. Not sure what to give this year? How about a Mommy and Me session that she will treasure in ever era of motherhood. The thing about portraits is they only become more valued over time.
