1. Everything you need is right there. Leaving the home with a newborn is like an Olympic event those first few weeks, add being a photo-ready parent too- Gah. Need another outfit due to spit up- you got it? More lip gloss? A feeding? A change? Something to entertain the toddler in tow. Easy at home.
2. You may have spent a lot of time putting together that perfect nursey. It’s a soothing place you and your little one will spend a lot of time in. Document the room and you together in it.
3. Which leads to this- worried about lighting? Sometimes the nursery is the smaller room in the house- no worries. If you hire the right professional experienced photographer, I will find the perfect lighting (or bring it). Most homes have a room(s), or even a nook that will do just perfect. If you aren’t sure? Lets chat. Sometimes we will send a few pictures back and fourth and then you will feel more confident. I also bring a few different lighting systems just incase.
4. Sentimental items… that blanket your Great Aunt made for the newborn- let’s get that photographed. The fully stocked drawers and closet of adorable clothes. Mom’s old pink panther stuffed-animal with babies new version (like in this session). Love it! I can get all those detail shots for you to have in their baby album.
5. Lastly, your newborn will love to see these images for years to come! Mom and Dad bringing them home. Their first home. What it looked like back then. It’s a time capsule piece of realism for them- not some studio. Not some trendy backdrop. This is their start at home with you.
